Background and Market Overview
Since September 2012, the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance (BEEO), Cap 610 was put in force by Hong Kong Government. Over 2,400 existing buildings covered in this Ordinance shall perform the energy audit, also energy saving improvement solutions are suggested to be included in the energy audit report.
To achieve carbon reduction target with 65-70% reduction issued by Hong Kong Government, the building owners are looking for those advanced energy saving improvement solutions and new high energy efficiency devices instead of the traditional types of methods.
Before the implementation of replacement, the building owners shall have interest in performance testing results on the new energy efficiency improvement devices and solutions, especially with third-party approval documents.

The certification scheme identifies the energy saving in energy performance improvement actions, verifies the performance result by measurement and verification method.
