Intertek Hong Kong Celebrates Christmas with Advent Calendar

Wishing you a Merry – and safe – Christmas!
Intertek Hong Kong has celebrated the holiday season with a twist - our very own Advent Calendar.
The word "Advent" comes from the Latin word adventus , which means "coming." Advent calendars are a staple tradition of the jolly season, counting down the days until Christmas. This December, Intertek launched our very own online eco-friendly Advent Calendar filled with 24 "gifts" featuring safety tips, counting down the days leading up to Christmas Eve.
Our videos featured Intertek experts sharing a variety of safety tips relating to all aspects of Christmas. Our Hardlines Team explain the importance of children's and adult toy safety, as well as candle, decoration, and kitchenware safety. Our Electrical Team shared safety advice on ovens, lighting and electricals; our Softlines Team gave recommendations on textile and costume safety and down jacket performance, and our Food Team shared information about food safety and nutritional labeling analysis.
There were 24 unique holiday-themed rewards to collect in total. However, the rewards would only unlock over time, meaning they were not all available on day one. Waiting for the clock to strike twelve and opening the door one by one was the only way to secure all the items. The last video, on 24th December, featured Intertek's next generation - our children - singing a Christmas song to greet our clients.
