Supporting brands in their expansion into the Greater Bay Area
On April 11, at the invitation of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), Intertek Hong Kong spoke at the ‘Greater Bay Area Testing and Certification Industry Webinar Series – Zhuhai’, where Industry leaders and professionals from the testing and certification (T&C) industry and manufacturers shared their expertise.
HKPC organized the webinar series, inviting government officials and experts from the T&C industry in Hong Kong and Zhuhai to share their knowledge on policies and regulations, as well as insights on future markets trends, business strategies and opportunities. Intertek Hong Kong Electrical Senior Manager, Samson Leong, shared his expertise on ‘Transitioning from low carbon economic opportunities to carbon neutrality’.
Samson spoke about the wide range of sustainability services Intertek provides, such as our Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP) verification services and CarbonZero Carbon neutral certification programme. In addition, he shared some of our successful verification projects for the apparel industry.
In 2019, the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was announced, encouraging enterprises in the Greater Bay Area to employ professional services offered by Hong Kong institutions, such as testing and certification services. This not only means many incredible business opportunities for Hong Kong partitioners, but also opportunities for advancement for Chinese partitioners.
Says Samson: “Being a long-standing partner to HKPC, it is our honour to be joining the event as a representative of the Hong Kong T&C industry. Participating in one of the Six Industries in Hong Kong, we indeed enjoy a competitive advantage in the GBA. As always, Intertek is committed to helping our clients enhance the quality and safety of their products. We are determined to lead the T&C industry towards advancement in order to strengthen Hong Kong’s T&C.”
Thank you HKPC for having us at this amazing event.
