Intertek Hong Kong Celebrates Father’s Day with Fatherhood Gallery

A time to recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the father figures in our lives
This year, Intertek Hong Kong celebrated Father's Day with the Fatherhood Gallery by showcasing imagery of paternal bonds submitted by our colleagues. The day was filled with joy and photographs that feel makes one warm and fuzzy inside.
In early June, the Human Resources Team hosted a photography competition. Colleagues were encouraged to share photos that reflect what they treasure most about their relationship with their children or fathers, or what they cherish most about fatherhood. 21 finalists were selected after keen competition.
In the morning of Jun 17, the team made an exciting announcement of the winner of the Grand Prize and 20 outstanding submissions at the Fatherhood Gallery. Those exceptional photographs have been printed and put into photo frames of various sizes and shapes, symbolizing that every father-and-child relationship is unique in its own way. Nevertheless, what lies at the root of every relationship is a core of unconditional love and endless gratitude.
Says father of two, Michael Chan from Toys and Hardlines, and Winner of the Grand Prize: “Thank you so much for the prize! I’m glad to be sharing my story with everyone. I always look up to my father. He does his best to shape my life for the better. Now that I’m a father myself, I understand how great he was to shoulder the responsibility of raising me. So I’m going to share the prize with him and my son – I’ll treat them to a fantastic dinner tonight!”
Says Peter Leung, Human Resources Director, Intertek Hong Kong: “This Fatherhood Gallery is an exhibition of love and dedication, honouring fatherhood and paternal bonds on this momentous occasion. We would like to take this chance to show our gratitude to all fathers, grandfathers and all father figures. You have worked hard every day to shape the present and future of your children. As a father myself, I can say you absolutely deserve it.” Wishing a wonderful day to all our colleagues with their fathers and children.”
