Educators Expand Knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

Intertek Hong Kong were recently visited by eight experienced teachers from various secondary schools, as part of their Professional Development Programme with the Education University of Hong Kong. The purpose of the tour was to enhance their knowledge and understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), whilst developing connections with industry professionals.

The Education University of Hong Kong's Certificate in Professional Development Programme offers intensive training for aspiring educators, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to excel in their careers. The visit to Intertek Hong Kong was an opportunity for these practising teachers to gain real-world insights into the applications of STEM principles in the testing and certification industry.

As part of the visit, Intertek Hong Kong arranged a tour of three laboratories, showcasing pet toys, kitchen utensils, and eyewear. Each tour was guided by Intertek's industry experts, providing an in-depth understanding of the testing processes and industry standards.
